- Students, start-ups, entrepreneurs and researchers are invited to submit their cleantech business idea
ClimateLaunchpad, the world’s largest green business idea competition, is back and looking for new talent in green technology and innovation. Anyone who dreams of starting their own business and wants to grow and scale their green idea into a viable, global business will have the opportunity to submit their idea by May 1.st 2022, visiting https://climatelaunchpad.org/application-form/.
EIT Climate-KIC, the EU’s leading climate innovation initiative, which aims to highlight the best cleantech ideas across the world, has adapted the competition and will once again implement it fully online.
The competition’s transition to a fully online event further underscores ClimateLaunchpad’s dedication to the fight against climate change, as it not only provides the tools and knowledge for budding young entrepreneurs to develop their green idea, but it also becomes even more respectful of the environment in itself.
The competition is set up to help aspiring entrepreneurs turn their green ideas into global businesses and welcomes innovations in renewable energy, energy efficiency, food and agriculture, water , transport, industrial technology or any other means of combating climate change.
ClimateLaunchpad is a program of the EIT Climate-KIC. It was founded in 2014, with only 11 participating countries, including Cyprus. The 2022 edition will take place in more than 50 countries around the world. Chrysalis LEAP is a Regional Partner of EIT Climate-KICone of three EIT Climate-KIC Cyprus Hub partners and the official organizer of EIT Climate Launchpad for Cyprus.
Selected participants will begin their training with an intensive 2-day Boot Camp on the 25thand & 26and of May, followed by 6 intensive coaching sessions to prepare for their national finals, which will be organized in Cyprus. Participating teams will pitch their business idea in front of a renowned jury, who will select the top 3 teams to represent Cyprus in the regional final where they will have the opportunity to qualify for the global grand final to be held in November 2022.
