RendezView, an innovative software solution that creates collaborative meeting environments, received first place at the University of Hawaii at the Mānoa Pacific Asian Center for Entrepreneurship (RHYTHM) Business Plan 2018 competition at Wai’alae Country Club on May 3. Four teams competed for prizes totaling over $ 40,000 in cash and in-kind.
the EUH The Business Plan Competition is an intensive and experiential program that provides mentoring, training and resources to EUH students and faculty who want to learn what it takes to be an entrepreneur and start a business. Through this competition, participants practice the art of testing the feasibility of a business idea, developing a business plan and presenting it to investors.

RendezView is an innovative software solution that creates collaborative meeting environments where multiple users work together in real time with multiple files in the same virtual space from their own devices.
The package includes $ 10,000 in cash and over $ 17,600 in legal and marketing services, as well as a subscription to a collaborative workspace.
Second place
Team: Rose Gold Gems, Kahiau machado, Kylie shimada and Rose Wong
Rose Gold Gems is disrupting the luxury jewelry market by offering affordable solid 14k gold, diamonds and gemstones through a direct-to-consumer distribution model.
The package includes $ 5,000 in cash and $ 8,000 in legal and marketing services.
Third place
Team: Swipewrap, Tom knapp-ramos and Jonathan uejbe
Swipewrap is a software service that enhances the user experience of digital gifts with personalized 3D gift boxes, which users can unwrap with their fingers on their smartphone.
Package includes $ 2,500 SLT Beam Bill Richardson Pioneer Prize and a value of $ 3,000 in legal and marketing services.
The competition was supported by title sponsors HE I Hawaiian Charitable Foundation and Power Companies. Other sponsors included the Convergent Law Group, SLT Beam, Pineapple Tweed and the EUH Office of the Vice-President for Research and Innovation.
The Business Plan Competition is one of over 20 programs offered by RHYTHM at Shidler College of Business. RHYTHM provides mentoring, training and resources to everyone EUH students and teachers. Its programs are designed to encourage entrepreneurial thinking across disciplines and inspire entrepreneurs to take their ideas from conceptualization to commercialization.
